Headshot and Portrait Photographer Based in Sacramento California
I always wanted to paint portraits. I was always fascinated by the works of the great portrait masters, but creating lifelike portraits on canvas was something that I did not possess the artistic talent to do. I realized though, I might not be able to paint a portrait, but I could learn to take a photograph.
Besides, photography was a medium I was always interested in, just like painting. I loved looking at old pictures, (who doesn't) and, for me, there is a sense of magic that a photograph creates. When you look at this frame, you see a moment of life frozen forever in time. Thinking about that never gets old.
I did not start off as a photographer, but as I got older, I realized that I would much rather spend my time working on creating work I love, rather than work somewhere to just make a living. I wanted to do something that I felt personally invested in. When you create a something you become deeply invested in that, and that feeds your purpose. Working at a job to make a living has its place, but it is not a fulfilling as working with a purpose. So I began building my business, like most people who make their own businesses do, as a means to make a living and do so with purpose.
As a business headshot photographer I get it. I get that you want to create a business as well. I get that you need to present yourself in a way that tells people what you, and your business, are all about. We as business owners are invested in this, and our businesses are as individual as we ourselves are. That's what I get excited about. Creating highly individualized work that represents you. We can create a quick headshot if that is where you are at and what you need. We can also create a brand, if you are at that point, where we go deeper and make images that speak more to you and your business. It's entirely up to you, but just know that I am here in this too and I get it.
As a portrait photographer I want to create art with you. I love trying different ideas and creating work that is beautiful and unique to you. When we do a portrait session we are working together to make images that you will have for the rest of your life. Much like a painter creating a portrait. They will be special and uniquely you. They will be printed so you can have the final work like it should be, on paper, not as ones and zeros on a computer screen. It truly is exciting to hold those final prints in you hand. There is something about a print that is magical and I can't wait to create something magical with you.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I am looking forward to working with you.
